Brunch with the Winners!

Take me to the registration form

Come meet three Pulitzer Prize-winning journalists on Sat., Feb. 26, 2005 at Mariemont High School. Have a free brunch (thanks to SPJ), catered by local chef (and past SPJ Award For Excellence winner) Jimmy Gherardi and mingle with local journalists.

In conjunction with the Tri-State Student Journalists Association Winter Conference and Workshop, the Cincinnati Pro Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists is offering a brunch get-together prior to the beginning of the student conference at the high school.

Students arrive beginning at 12:15 p.m. Brunch starts at 10:30 a.m. and ends at 12:30 p.m. SPJ and TSJA ask professionals attending the brunch to stay and welcome to students. Help is also needed that day (the conference ends at 5 p.m.) and pros are encouraged to stay to help, if possible.

The Tri-State Student Journalists Association, a group of Greater Cincinnati area high school journalists interested in media careers, has planned a journalism conference that will put participants face-to-face with 2004 Pulitzer Prize winner for commentary, Leonard Pitts, Jr. as well as Pulitzer Prize winners, Tim Gallagher and J. Bruce Bauman.
