Three enter Hall in 1999

Three Cincinnati journalists were inducted into the Cincinnati Journalism Hall of Fame at this year's banquet at Union Terminal.

Bill Burleigh, noted president and CEO of E. W. Scripps and former editor for The Cincinnati Post, was inducted and gave the keynote address at the dinner, May 14th.

Joining Burleigh in the Hall this year was Marjorie Parham and Allan White.

Parham was founder and publisher of the Cincinnati Herald, for a long time the only editorial voice of the black community in Cincinnati.

White, longtime producer and reporter for WCPO-TV, did the first live TV remote in Cincinnati on May 15, 1961. He is perhaps best remembered as the venerable Al Schottelkotte's "right-hand man."
