Three inducted into Cincinnati Journalism Hall of Fame in 2004

Thom Gephardt
Presented by William Keating, retired Cincinnati Enquirer publisher
 
Cincinnati Enquirer editorial page editor for 32 years. Gephardt became well-known for creating fictional character "Mr. Whig''.  Using this character, Gephardt espoused his political views in a Sunday column.
 
Henry Segal
Presented by Scott Aiken, retired Cincinnati Enquirer editorial writer
 
Editor and owner of the Cincinnati-based American Israelite for 55 years until his death in 1985. Segal was also The New York Time’s Cincinnati correspondent for 30 years. He was also a charter member and former president of the Cincinnati chapter of SPJ/SDX.
 
 
Dick Rawe
Presented by William Burleigh, retired E.W. Scripps Co. CEO
 
Did everything at The Cincinnati Post - from copy boy to city editor - during a newspaper career spanning 50 years, ending in 1993Rawe covered business news, real estate and aviation. He was also an editorial-page writer, senior investigative reporter, and assistant city editor.
