As we told you several weeks ago, Felix resigned the position of Vice President, leaving an opening. Aiesha Little has stepped up and volunteered for this office. As she is the only announced candidate by the deadline to submit nominations, we will dispense with the email voting process and instead vote formally at our next meeting, Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 11:30 AM, at WCPO-TV, 1720 Gilbert Ave. Cincinnati 45202. Every member is invited, as always.

Aiesha's statement:

I'm interested in the position because over the last few months, our board has been making a great deal of progress. I want to play a greater role in that change, doing my part to make Greater Cinci SPJ a more inclusive and dynamic chapter. Since becoming a board member, I've taken an active role in programming and trying to attract younger journalists "into the fold." Stepping up to this position is a natural outgrowth of the leadership abilities I've already presented.
