New Media – Evolving Technologies – How can the modern newsroom evolve to accommodate the web?
The SPJ Greater Cincinnati Pro Chapter is sponsoring a program focusing on many of your "need-to-know" and "want-to-know" questions about "New Media" and what it means for Journalism in 2010 and beyond.
The program features Northern Kentucky University Assistant Professor Brad King, director of the Media Informatics program, Department of Communication at NKU’s College of Informatics.
Brad’s hour-long presentation will address topics including what skills journalists need to evolve with the new technologies and how those will work within integrated news departments to create new business models.
The program is scheduled for Tuesday February 19th, 7:00 PM to 8:00 pm, in Room 110, Landrum Academic Center on the NKU campus in Highland Heights
Directions to Landrum room 110
- Follow general directions to get to NKU and the Rte 27 entrance on Nunn Drive.
- Go on Nunn Drive toward campus, passing new arena on left,
- Go through traffic circle to stop sign
- Bear to right, passing info booth on right
- Turn right at the Baptist Student Center (Landrum Centeris the building to your left as you turn right at BSC )
- Park in either Lot E (faculty staff lot) on the left, or Lot F (student lot) on the right.
- Walk past the Baptist Center building to Landrum. The entrance will put you on the first floor at room 110.
