SPJ Socials return September 29
Event stops at Covington's Jack Quinn's

After a few-months hiatus, the popular SPJ Socials will make their return Thursday, September 29 at Jack Quinn's Restaurant and Irish Pub.

The socials will then continue monthly and move around the city, making it easier for media working in suburban locations to attend. Do you have a suggestion about where a monthly social should happen? E-mail Joe Wessels.

Local SPJ Banquet slated for October 28
Event at UC celebrates new journalism program

 

NOTE: Contest winners will be announced on or near October 1, 2005 via e-mail, regular mail and telephone. A list of all winners will also be posted on this Web site. What award and what place received will be revealed at the banquet only.

 

This year's event will be at the Kingsgate Conference Center on the campus of the University of Cincinnati. We will be celebrating the launch of the school's brand new journalism program. A keynote speaker is being finalized. Tickets will go on sale next month.

SPJ/Cincinnati Advance Mayoral Debate scheduled
October 11th event at Alchemize in Over-the-Rhine

SPJ is partnering with local community group Cincinnati Advance to co-sponsor the October 11 Cincinnati mayoral debate at bar Alchemize on Walnut Street in Over-the-Rhine. More details will be released soon.

Local journalists will be panelists at the debate and it will be broadcast on WAIF-FM (88.3).
