Jerry Springer speaks on journalism Thursday

Deadline for luncheon tickets Monday, limited number available

If you’ve been in Cincinnati long enough, you know a different Jerry Springer. However, if you’re relatively new, your impression might be different. And for many, regardless of how long they have lived in Cincinnati, their feelings likely changed — one way or another — in the last 10 years. Whatever way you remember the former mayor, commentator and award-winning news anchor and talk show host, he is back in Cincinnati. An exploratory bid at the U.S. Senate last fall led to a talk show on Cincinnati’s new liberal talk radio station, WCKY. And he’s taken up residence in the city with plans to maybe run again, this time for Ohio governor.

Come hear Jerry Springer discuss journalism and his future plans, plus he will answer your questions. Join SPJ for an afternoon at the Montgomery Inn Boathouse for great food and an enlightening conversation with a one of today’s controversial personalities. All comments are on the record. This SPJ event is open to the public.

Luncheon is 12:30 to 2 p.m. Thursday, March 24 at the Montgomery Inn Boathouse, 925 Eastern Ave., near downtown. Cost is $20 per person. Includes lunch. Advance registration is required. Deadline is 5 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2005. Register and pay online at www.cincyspj.org.
